Found in 1884 in northwestern Iran and the Russian part of Central Asia. Typical of this variety are the open structure with a diameter that can reach up to 30 to 35 cm (12-14”) and hairy leaves. This is a short but large-headed Allium and very suitable as a cut flower or dried flower as decoration or to spray in gold or silver at Christmas time.
