On top of the burgundy flower, as the bloom progresses, a tuft of flowers protrudes a few centimeters, which has the effect of a lock of hair. The white stamens become more and more conspicuous during flowering, creating a white haze over the burgundy flower. The initially winding flower spike is variable in height.
