Introduced in 1873 from southern France, southern Italy, northern Iraq, southeast Turkey and western Iran. These lovely. Consisting of 20 to 30 hanging bell-shaped flowers are very popular with bees and bumblebees due to an abundance of nectar. The flower with overlapping petals close again after flowering and stand upright.
