A. Giganteum has been found since 1883 and is native to Northeast Iran, Northwest Afghanistan.
One of the longest and most striking Alliums with extremely strong flower stems up to 150 cm (59”) high. Gray-green leaves are about 8 cm (3”) wide and 30 cm (12”) long, the diameter of the flower is about 20 cm (8”).
